Fact checking the IL Governor: Gov Pritzker contends violent crime has been declining in Chicago for three years. Is he correct? We discuss, you decide. Watch 24/7 on the internet.
Public Affairs TV
Public Affairs’ Jeff Berkowitz and the Illinois Channel’s Terry Martin discuss whether the facts and data support Gov Pritzker’s contention that “Violent crime in Chicago actually has been coming down for three years, but in particular over the last year.”
The governor invited the public this week to test his contention by examining the publicly available Chicago Police Department data. Wirepoints did just that, obtaining the data and presenting the relevant visual aids, slides and analyses.
Berkowitz and Martin discuss the Governor’s contention in light of those Wirepoints’ slides, presented during the show, along with a video clip of the Governor’s discussion with a Crain’s Chicago Business interviewer earlier this week.
