Gov Pritzker used to advertise “I follow science, data and facts.” But do the facts and data support last week’s Gov contention that “Violent crime in Chicago actually has been coming down for three years, but in particular over the last year.”

Like Dem Presidential Primary candidate Gart Hart once invited the press to check up on his “Monkey Business,” by following him around, the IL Governor invited the public last week to test his contention by examining the publicly available Chicago Police Department data. Wirepoints did just that, obtaining the data and presenting the relevant visual aids, slides and analyses.  

Jeff Berkowitz and Terry Martin assess in a fair and balanced way the Governor’s contention in light of those Wirepoints slides, presented during the show, along with a video clip of the Governor’s discussion with a Crain’s Chicago Business interviewer earlier this week.

The Gov is not the kind of guy who makes himself available to people who challenge him intellectually. He prefers Crain’s “Sanctuary media” style:)
